Author Information

I am an experienced internet marketer and have been online since 1995 so really know what's what. I'm technically minded and have had several industry based jobs ranging from support helpdesk to systems developer and of course, as an internet marketer.

Using PLR

PLR stands for Private Label Rights.

It is basically a pre-written article, or collection or articles, where the content rights are sold in bulk. The rights also allow the buyer to use the work as their own and make any changes necessary. Some also allow you to resell the work as your own, although this isn’t why you will be using it.

You will often see some PLR packs limited to 200-500 people only, whereas others have no limit.

PLR articles are cheaper than outsourcing your article writing since they are sold in bulk – if you pay an author to write an article for you one of the key benefits is that it will be unique.

PLR can be good, since it saves you the time of writing the article, however, the number 1 rule when using PLR is to make sure you rewrite it. You can almost guarantee that someone has already copy and pasted a PLR article online somewhere, and reusing it will not benefit you at all since the work is not original.

One bad thing about PLR is the work can sometimes be low quality, but this isn’t anything to be concerned about since you are rewriting it anyway. Many articles are thrown together quickly or outsourced to countries where English is not the primary language.

If you decide to use PLR it is often worth emailing the company or seller to see if they have some samples of work you can look at. If they claim they do not, then this may be a sign that they are hiding something, so look for an alternative source instead.

NB – it is against the T&C’s of many article directories, including EZA, to submit PLR.
