Leave some blog comments

Commenting on blogs can be very effective for building backlinks as long as you do it right.

It is also important to not spam these pages – try to leave a respectful and on-topic comment about the page itself and leave a single link to your website at the end. There are several ways you can find pages to link to your website from. Google is a great tool for this. Websites that end in .gov and .edu can add great value to your backlink campaigns so be on the lookout for these especially.

You can use the following searches to find potential sites to link from, simply enter the following into google:

• site:.edu inurl:blog “comment” -”posting closed” -”comment closed” -”you must be logged in” “main keyword”
• site:.gov inurl:blog “comment” -”posting closed” -”comment closed” -”you must be logged in” “main keyword”
• main keywords “blog comments powered by Disqus”

It is usually a good idea to leave comments on blogs that are related to your niche only. If the post has loads of comments already, you can also try to engage in conversation if you have a different opinion to one that has already been left. Other bloggers will be happy to accept your comment as long as you give them some value too.
